Here at Evelia Espinosa’s Art Studio in Port Moody, our students enjoy painting different landscapes among some of the most popular are sunsets.
In this particular painting our student Maren used various Mixed Media techniques in her portrail of a city sunset. Although it was a lengthly process, Maren was very happy with her results. Maren glazed her painting three times in order to achieve the beautiful colour in her sunset. Similarly, she used the same glazing techniques to give the shines and light in each building. When we asked Maren about her painting she told us, “In this painting, I used modeling paste on the buildings to give it texture and did an orange sunset to represent my Dad’s friend, who recently passed, because it is a gift for him”.
Much like Maren, many students have created beautiful pictures for their friends and families. We always encourge our students to share their art work as they should be very proud of their hard work.
