Drawing Techniques

In Evelia Espinosa’s Art Studio our students learned some basic pencil, color and ink techniques to improve their skills. We help our students to unlock the artist inside of them.

We use different a variety of lines and when they begin their drawings, they start with HB pencil to create lighter outlines. A sketch usually has two layers of outlines for basic shapes and for define the edges of the elements.

When they finished the scketch sometimes we use some drawing techniques of, pencil crayon, soft pastel, ink, wet-on-wet pen strokes and splahes, charcol, watercolor or sharpie trying to explore the power of the medium.
